Chengdu Finance Week Events – International Financial Centre Development Conference was successfully conducted.
During the opening ceremony of Chengdu Finance Week, participants from various countries and regions were encouraged to communicate with each other, focusing on the development of the Western China Financial Centre.
Chengdu Finance Week, co-hosted by Chengdu Municipal Local Financial Regulation Bureau and Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone Administrative Committee, and organized by China Innovation Finance Institute, and supported by IFC•IIC Federation was officially opened on November 19, 2023 in Chengdu.
As the premier listing venue for international bonds, the Luxembourg Stock Exchange has been working very closely with Chinese issuers for several years to facilitate their access to international capital markets and investors. And this cooperation with China has naturally expanded into the field of sustainable finance. Many successful joint initiatives with the Chinese partners have been developed in recent years, notably in the fields of information dissemination and indexes, etc. And these opportunities all capture the power that the finance industry has to propel innovative sustainable investment opportunities that improve inclusive growth.
In line with China’s current economic development stage, sustainable investment is an investment approach and concept that integrates environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance. It emphasizes economic and social benefits and is a practical manifestation of the new development concept “innovation, coordination, green, openness, and sharing” in investment practices.
